Project info
During my time at Art Center, I had the opportunity to take a semester off and return to Kansas City where I linked up with my hometown heroes at Hammerpress. I was given the opportunity to create a series of reductive linocut prints and print them on a vintage Vandercook proof press. Based on Mexican Lotería cards, each print was drawn on a sheet of mounted linoleum, slowly carved away, and printed in a sequence of three inks, overlapping light to dark.
